microsoft_logoWell just after the Windows 7 Desktop RC was released Microsoft released the RC of their new Windows 2008 Server.

One of the main upgrade areas is IIS so anyone running Windows Servers for Webdeployment should be happy.

Applications are supose to run with controled and limited privleges to improve security.

There are some improvements to storage solutions and everyone is probably already using clustering and remote storage so hopefully it will be more dependable and drives won’t disappear.

There are suppose to be improvements in dealing with problem Virtual Machines without interrupting the whole server.

For administrators with dial-in services you should be able to partition your Radius from the rest of your infrastructure as needed.

Server 2008 R2 will require a 64bit processor so if you wanted to test it on an old computer forget it.

Its worth the look at the price of the free download
